Black Lantern Wonder Woman is a resurrected, undead version of the iconic DC Comics superheroine, Wonder Woman. She is a member of the Black Lantern Corps, powered by the black power rings which raise the dead and bind them to the will of Nekron, the embodiment of death in the DC Universe.
Diana Prince, the original Wonder Woman, succumbs to the Black Lantern's influence during the "Blackest Night" storyline. Her death, or rather, the manipulation of a past death by the black ring, allows her to be reborn as a Black Lantern. Like other Black Lanterns, she is driven by the need to extinguish all emotions and to increase the emotional spectrum power for Nekron's goals.
As a Black Lantern, Wonder Woman retains her immense strength, speed, and fighting skills but these abilities are now corrupted and used for destructive purposes. She targets her former allies, including the living Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark), exploiting their emotional connections to fuel the black power rings. Her corrupted state represents a significant psychological blow to the heroes of the DC Universe, forcing them to confront a twisted reflection of one of their most trusted and powerful champions.
